That's the spirit... ? Nice sunny day in Brussels yesterday. It sounds like a miracle... I know... but we had Sun! So, with this friend of mine we were discussing about sales (of course). We both realized that everybody discusses about economic crisis, about not enough cash-flow in the market and so on, but we still doing business. Well, I still don't consider myself a salesman but I believe in four main principles: - Body
- Soul (or else Heart)
- Mind
- Spirit
What this has to do with sales? Well, let's interpreter them: - Body is the need. Needs must be covered. Specially in IT there are a lot of needs, and by providing qualitative solutions and services, customers will call you.
- Soul / Heart is the feeling. If your customer and you feel nice when you meet and specially if your customer trusts you, then it's a win-win situation
- Mind is rational thinking. It's the one that will produce solutions to the problems.
- Spirit is the new idea. A new idea is always appreciated and will lead you to better paths if only it is combined with the first three pillars.
You may think immediately that "oh, yes I do all these things"... Check again your client lists. With who can you have a coffee Sunday morning? Must watch:
