When I listen to Maria Callas I feel her to be connecting with the essence and truth of classical music. Her crystal-clear voice and natural tones, captivate my full attention. There is nothing artificial about her performance and it always feels as the total of her soul was dedicated to music. If there is a collective truth that lies within music, the language that connects all of us, Maria Callas was able to connect to that truth and express it to the audience in a unique way.
Her life is music. She discovered a way of singing that seems impossible for most singers. Although she had a very difficult life, many obstacles and no supporting family, she was able to become such a great artist that will always admired. Maria Callas represents the highest potential of an opera singer.
